Environment-friendly
“Take only memories, leave only footprints” is at the heart of Sandy Acres’ ethos. We are committed to keeping the natural beauty of the area and our beach as plastic free as possible. From sunrise, beach cleans to reducing, recycling and reusing across the site. Please help us keep Sandy Acres as natural as possible.
The Carpark
There is a small beach carpark with one pay and display machine at its entrance. It is enforced year-round, and we’d hate our campers clamped, so do please buy and show your ticket at all times. Gates are open at 7 am and close at 10 pm. Should you require access outside those times, contact us.
RNLI Lifeguards
Full lifeguard cover is operational from 5th May until 30th of September each year and located at Beachside (to the left of Sandy Acres). Swimming and bodyboarding are between the red and yellow flags only. Surfing is between the black and white flags.
Dog-Friendly Holidays in Cornwall
We love our hounds and yours too! We run a dog-friendly campsite, and the beach at Sandy Acres is dog accessible year-round. There are restrictions in place during the season at the southern end near the Hayle Estuary and the northern end towards Gwithian. Please check signs before walking your dog there.
